There are many incidences in surgery where human error has occurred and has caused damage to the patient. Robots are more precise and accurate, but they do not respond well to changes. Surgery requires a steadiness of hand that can be more efficiently achieved by robots. Are robots more fit to perform surgery? Should they replace doctors? Will more lives be saved? Is there an alternative to increasing steadiness that does not require a machine? Please respond with your ideas and thoughts.
