Healthcare has long been a heated topic even before former President Obama proposed his controversial Affordable Care Act. People from both Left and Right of the aisle have debated how healthcare for the people should be done. Government run Medicare for all (Universal healthcare like in European countries and Canada along with Mexico)? Or should it be left to the States to figure out whether they want state-run healthcare or more privatized insurance? Which one do you think is the right choice?

I like the idea of a state sponsored health care program (that is in fact universal). Ben Carson brought this idea up in one of his presidential debates. A individualize bank account that can be flexible across immediate family lines. In order for this to work the starting premiums would need to be a bit higher in order to decrease the amount of public outcry that can ensue if premiums were to be raised. The money given to each person, in there bank account, would depend on the average standard of living expenses in the area and account for inflation. Depending on a persons tax bracket. If a person makes above $250,000 a year they will not be supplied the starting health care, but have to at least invest the amount necessary to be the average standard of living in his/her region.
