There are many people out there that are addicted to many forms of drugs or substances. This can be, but are not limited to heroin, speed, etc. Should rehabilitation be offered? And if so what services provided? Or is there another method that can be used to decrease addicts. Respond with your ideas below!

I believe that rehabilitation should be offered and the services it should provide include boarding, food, and healthcare. Also I believe that we should legalize all forms of drugs and in doing so the U.S. government should tax the hell out of it. This would cause businesses who are not legally runned to be ex sponged and then there should be a state by state, house by house, search with a nation wide permit so that all illegeal methods of making said drugs can be cleared out.

Huh, that is an interesting concept of mass crackdown. So, would the search be paid for by the taxed drugs? And what about the people who don't take drugs, but are effected by people who would have easier access?

The reason there is such a drug epidemic is because of the lack of rehab. The U.S. prison system is a catch-and-release program rather than actually bettering or fixing the inmate. We simply warehouse these criminals until they are released and they go right back to where they were. A much improved rehabilitation system in our prisons and jails would do wonders for the country.

Exactly Universal the search would be founded by the drug tax and we would also create more jobs as we would hire more police to keep an area clean after the mass sweep. Then we could also have mass rehabilitation programs that would create more jobs for therapists or volunteers.

In addition, how can thoughts of revolts be diminished when police officers are doing mass searches? I'd also like to point out. This is a 'think' tank so I am encouraging a more well rounded idea. I am not attacking or diminishing the policy/concept just making it as, may I say as, 'perfect' as it can be.
